Experience the winter tranquillity of the Weisstannen Valley on a guided adventure hike (in German) – far from the crowds and surrounded by untouched nature. Discover snow-covered alpine landscapes, traces of wildlife, and the historic mountain village of Weisstannen, with a cosy stop at a traditional inn.
Accompanied by a local, certified guide from Bergträume GmbH, you’ll trace your path through deep, snow-covered forests and open alpine meadows. The tour is also suitable for beginners – no prior experience in snowshoeing is required. Along the way, you’ll learn intriguing facts about the valley’s nature, wildlife and history. With a bit of luck, you might spot deer, foxes or dippers. The route leads past rushing mountain streams and old alpine farms, offering breathtaking views of the Foostock – part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Tectonic Arena Sardona.
During the tour, you’ll discover the historic mountain village of Weisstannen, situated over 1,000 metres above sea level. Here, time seems to stand still: weathered wooden houses, traditional craft objects and a living alpine culture shape the village’s charm. To conclude the day, enjoy a well-deserved rest (consumption not included in the price) in a stylish, centuries-old inn with an ambience that evokes the Belle Époque and Biedermeier eras.
