Description

The Chlara Maiensäss is situated above the village of Untervaz. Pure nature and the scent of fresh wood greet you as you enter the Maiensäss. The timber used comes from local forests. This high-quality, renovated and extended Maiensäss offers space for four people across two floors, though it is ideal for two.
There are plenty of places to sit around the Chlara mountain hut. A fire pit and a gas barbecue are available. Storage facilities are provided for mountain bikes and other sports equipment. An uncovered parking space for one car is situated right next to the mountain hut.

Bedroom
A small bedroom on the upper floor. When accommodating four people, the high-quality sofa on the ground floor serves as an additional sleeping space.

Kitchen and living room
The log walls and a cosy stove with a flickering fire create a healthy and relaxed atmosphere. The dining area, kitchen with fridge and the cosy sofa corner are all open-plan.

Interior
The Maiensäss is furnished in a modern and cosy style, featuring untreated reclaimed timber as well as local spruce and larch wood. The small bathroom has a shower, a toilet and a washbasin.

Further information
You can hear the motorway, which runs right through the Graubünden Rhine Valley. It is not noise per se, but rather a ‘background hum’ that is perceived differently depending on the state of the vegetation, wind direction, temperature and weather. The economical and mindful use of water and electricity is very important and must be practised, as resources are finite. An outdoor pool (Dutch tub) is available upon advance booking and for an additional charge. The Maiensäss is not suitable for young children, as the interior layout (fireplace, steep stairs, etc.) is not safe for small children. The Maiensäss is not fenced off.
