Honey with heart - On the trail of the bees from Flumserberg

Duration:   3 hours

  • Guided tour through the honey farm
  • Insight into a beehive
  • Learn how the "honey with heart" is produced
  • Tips and tricks on how to help the bees so that they can also visit your garden or balcony and find enough to eat
  • Tasting of the liquid gold
  • A little surprise for you to take home

During this day you will discover the sweet side of Flumserberg. You will visit a honey farm on the Flumserberg, where you will dive into the deepest secrets of beekeeping. Where and how do bees actually live? What does a beehive look like up close? And how is honey made? Jenny and Jonas will answer these and other questions about bees and their honey. The couple lives on Flumserberg, where they produce Flumser honey with the utmost dedication. What started with one beehive has become a business with more than 300 bee colonies.

Jenny and Jonas also provide tips for your home: for example, how to create a habitat for bees in your garden or on your balcony. But what would a visit of a honey factory be without a tasting? Whether on freshly baked bread or pure - you can taste the liquid gold on the spot. On top of that, you get a temptingly sweet-smelling surprise that you can taste at home with your loved ones.
